Mary Nguyen Barry is a policy analyst at Education Reform Now. In 2013, Mary co-authored Tough Love: Bottom Line Quality Standards for Colleges that received favorable review from among others the New York Times editorial page. She’s an expert on college ratings and use of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Previously, she worked for the Education Trust and Education Sector, studying college and career readiness issues and college access and completion challenges facing students from low-income families and students of color.
