Alejandra Vázquez Baur is a fellow at The Century Foundation. In 2022, she co-founded the National Newcomer Network, a coalition of over 150 educators, researchers, and advocates from 35 states invested in developing systemic solutions to address newcomer student inequity in K–12 schools. She is an inaugural Obama USA Leader, a former high school teacher and the proud granddaughter of Mexican farmworkers. She holds degrees from Claremont McKenna College and Columbia University.
