Michael Levine
Michael H. Levine is an internationally recognized policy and research expert who has led early childhood and K-12 educational initiatives at public and private companies, foundations and government agencies. He previously founded and led the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop and the learning, research and impact work at Noggin, a division of Nickelodeon. He is an adviser to edtech and family media startups and nonprofits. Levine has deep experience researching the educational, developmental and socioeconomic implications of emerging media to inform policy and legislation, fuel innovation, promote educational equity and influence scalable program impact. He is the author of more than 30 publications and policy briefs, coauthor of Tap, Click, Read: Growing Readers in a World of Screens, a keynote speaker, and a board member for a number of nonprofit and social venture organizations. Levine was recognized as one of America’s most influential leaders in family policy by Working Mother magazine and recently led a production team awarded an Emmy Award for the civics series, Well-Versed.
